Facials are wonderful for your skin and feel amazing to get. Facials are deep cleansing treatments for the face, neck and décolleté (chest). Facials are good for anyone interested in getting their skin healthy who may have issues with scarring, aging, dehydrated, oily, acne, sensitive or clogged skin. I will ask if you have any allergies or take any medication prior to your facial to make sure I am tailoring the facial to your needs.
When you come in for a facial I will ask you what concerns you have and what you want to work on. Then I cleanse your skin twice. Once to remove makeup and then to remove oil and actually clean the skin. I do a skin analysis next by looking at your skin underneath a magnification lamp. This allows me to address your concerns and make additional suggestions to get your skin as healthy as possible. I then exfoliate and use steam on the face, neck and décolleté. I can modify the traditional steam exfoliation by substituting dermaplaning, microdermabrasion or a chemical peel. Once the exfoliation is removed I perform extractions if approved by the client. This removes white heads, black heads, milia and clogged pores. I will apply an appropriate serum and mask next followed by a relaxing massage while the products are absorbing. After I complete the massage and remove the products I will apply a serum, moisturizer, eye cream and sunscreen if necessary.
The Ultimate Facial is my regular facial on steroids. I follow the same protocol as my basic facial but microdermabrasion and a peel with steam are used as the exfoliation. This combination is perfect for those clients who want a deeper clean and exfoliation that aims at lightening sun spots, smoothing fine lines and stimulating collagen more agressively. I then perform extractions followed by one of the most popular new trends in the esthetic community, LED red light therapy. LED red light therapy is the most universal LED light and stimulates collagen while accelerating healing. It is perfect for improving skin tone and texture. I will have your eyes covered from the bright light and treat the skin for approimately 20 minutes. Most clients relax and fall asleep.
Next, I use a 24k gold mask that can go over the eyes and lips to promote hydration and the signs of aging. The gold mask stays on for 15 minutes. I use a second mask during this facial, either an additional hydrating mask or clay mask that helps remove excess oil from the skin. During the masking phase I perform a neck and décolleté massage with your choice of wine, champagne or apricot oil.
